Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice Beth Van Schaack will travel to Bangkok, Thailand, October 4-7, 2024.
In Thailand, Ambassador Van Schaack will meet with members of the Government of Thailand, as well as civil society, experts, and organizations. She will discuss justice and accountability for victims of atrocities in Burma.
Ambassador Van Schaack will reiterate the United States’ commitment to seeking accountability for atrocities committed across Burma and to standing with and pursuing justice for survivors and victims. The United States continues to call upon Burma to create the conditions conducive for Rohingya refugees’ voluntary, safe, and dignified return.
